Spring is in the air and it is time to start hitting the links again. If you are not interested in golf, read no further. If you enjoy being frustrated by that little white sphere read on. Your ability doesn’t matter. Just a desire to enjoy the camaraderie of a day on the links. This year we will have groups in both the men’s and women’s divisions playing either 9 or 18 holes. Men 18 hole players play on Mondays and Thursdays. Men 9 hole players and all women play on Wednesdays. Women golfers should contact Sherry Draper (email@example.com) and let her know you would like to play. Men 9 hole players should contact Dave Bird (firstname.lastname@example.org) and men 18 hole players contact Pete Bruder (email@example.com). For men 18 hole players if you are already receiving my emails there is no need to contact me. If you would like to be added to the email list please let me know.
This year we would like to try two new ideas. If there are enough young players who would like to play regularly we will start a youth group. Please let Pete Bruder (firstname.lastname@example.org) know if you are interested. Secondly if there are any adults, men or women, who would like to try the game of golf but are hesitant, Geoff Geiser (email@example.com) would like to hear from you. He wants to start a group of beginners who will play with an experienced player in what is called a scramble format. Basically everyone will hit a ball and then proceed to the position of the best ball that was hit and everyone will hit their next shot from that position. It is a great way to learn the game so let Geoff know if you are interested.
We look forward to a great summer of golf. Come join us.
